I get a little flaky from time to time. That means I forget passwords (…my car keys, my car, the last time I went to my studio.) Does that mean my IP address gets blocked from my server?
YES! ARGGHHHH!
Well now that that’s taken care of and I’ve come out of my turkey coma I guess I can get back to work. Really wanna start working on paper but feel like I should kick out some hoodies or long sleeved numbers??? Maybe I’m not on the correct cycle for stores/customers to buy shirts? Or will the holiday season knock me on my ass? Always full of questions (or poop?).
Feist is her name and more than “1, 2, 3, 4…” is her game. (Yeh, Yeh - That was lame but anyways.) She’s Canuckin’ cool and I’ve been listening to her over and over and over again.
At this point everybody’s seen her featured in the Apple iPod commercial but that song is so not the best song on “The Reminder” album. Yes “1234″ is super happy and upbeat and makes u feel like a hippie but it is pretty damn sugary. Might I suggest:
“Past in Present” - Fun, frenetic song that makes you wanna go ” la , la , la , laaaaah”
“Brandy Alexander” - We’ve all had a least one in our life. That friend/love you’d do anything to please, even though that’s probably not the best idea in the world
” Intuition” - Live somewhere in the world. Sweet back and forth with the audience. “Did I miss out on you”?
Usually I look to house music for that warm hug of bass but there’s something incredibly soothing in the world weary voice of the artist named Feist. Yah for a more up tempo vibe, check out “Open Season”. Basically a remix album of “Let It Die”, Season casts Feist in a super funky light. The styles range from heavy hip hop influenced downtempo (YAY!) to cabaret to drum and bass.
“Mushaboom” is featured on this album with 4our different remixes to suit for different moods.
“One Evening” is some seriously sexy music.
“Lovertits”, lover tits, LOVER TITS. It’s just so funny to say “Lovertits”
I think I’ve stepped in more dog crap in one month than I have in 10 years. I adopted a 6 month old Lab/Ridgeback mix puppy from the Washington Humane Society last month and it’s been KILLER, in a good way. The only not so sexy part is cleanin’ up the poop.
Really it’s NOT cool steppin’ in sh*t especially when you’re wearing HOT new shoes (read: Fresh pair from adidas). Besides being gross, it’s just not healthy.
I know I’m not supposed to feel this way but I love my shoes! It’s kinda superficial but they make me really happy, giddy even. They’re loud and obnoxious. LOL. I feel like I got candy on my feet. So I had to cop a pair. All about the zapatos!
My fresh pair are from a fresh store in Georgetown, Washington, DC, called MAJOR. The thing is they are so not Gtown and that’s what I like about them. There are boxes all over the place, full of random shoes, boxes in front of rows of shoes, and random graphic shirts from random companies. That’s not going to appeal to everyone, especially if ur all about minimalist displays and pretentious salespeople. What they have going for them is their down-home approach and the super friendly staff.
Let’s not forget the happening gear though. The streetwear they offer is on the urban tip and from well known brands like Nike and Adidas, and relatively unheard of brands like Addict and Creative Recreation. They are some of the major reasons to visit Major.
Welcome to my blog, buckos. Here we’ll have the chance to talk about tshirts, screen printing, art, design and whatever interests you and me.
Finally the new shirts are uploaded and ready to go.
This has been a long road. Who knew it would be such a process. I thought this was going to be easy, breezy even. No one bothered to tell me otherwise. You see it’s the tshirt/fashion/apparel part I really dig. The business part is what I can do without. Unfortunately that’s not an option, especially since I’d like to be around for a while.
Soooo, check me out. Check me out often. It’s gonna be freakin’ fresh!
